Now that the pre-order campaign has finally started for the Xbox One X, many fans around the world are excited to play games natively on 4K. Sure, not a lot of games will play natively on 4K right out of the box but there are games previously released on the Xbox One that will be enhanced to take advantage of Microsoft’s new beast console.
Regardless if you have already finished some of the Xbox One games that you already owned, there are several games that really needs some revisiting on the Xbox One X since majority performs poorly when it comes to the performance.
Here are the games that are worth revisiting on Xbox One X:
Final Fantasy XV
If you have not played Final Fantasy XV before, or have not even finished it just because you are not satisfied with the visuals (yea, it’s blurry at some parts) compared to the PS4, you definitely need to try it on the Xbox One X. Fortunately, Final Fantasy XV is among the games that will receive a patch when the Xbox One X officially launches this November. From the subpar 900p, the game will finally be optimized to run on 4K, and hopefully a solid 60 frames per second. Sure, the competition received a patch that plays the game in 4K, but it runs poorly compared to the Xbox One version.
One of the exclusives I was really excited to play last year was Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break. It was a good game overall but the performance issues where the game would stutter or have screen tearing makes the game somewhat mediocre and strayed away some fans due to it. With Remedy Entertainment announcing that Quantum Break will be among the games that will be enhanced, many are excited once again as hopefully, their optimization will be great, allowing players to experience the game as to what Remedy Entertainment envisioned.
Fallout 4 is a great game, though when it was released on the Xbox One, it was hit with frame rate issues occasionally. Well, with Bethesda promising to release an optimization patch in the near future, fans will definitely need to reconsider revisiting Fallout 4 when the Xbox One X hits this March. We are expecting the game to run a lot smoother with less glitches.
The Witcher 3
The resolution of The Witcher 3 on the Xbox One is subpar as it’s only 900p, compared to the 1080p resolution of the PS4 version. With CD Projekt releasing an optimization patch for the Xbox One version, the game will finally get the 4K treatment, hopefully shorter loading times, and of course, much smoother frame rate compared to the 900p version.
Gears of War 4
Gears of War 4 is one of the Xbox One exclusives that will receive an optimization patch when the console launches later this year. Sure, the game is great but the performance of the game when it comes to the Xbox One is pretty mediocre. At some point, the game will encounter bad frame rates. For a game like this, 60 frames per second is a must and luckily, the optimization will deliver just that. Not to mention that the game will be in glorious 4K.
